What is the Allied Health Professional session?
Since 2006, the ECTS has held a dedicated session for AHPs at their annual congress. This is designed to be of particular interest to AHPs e.g. nurses, physiotherapists, radiologists, clinical scientists. The main session objectives are to represent and strengthen the professional position of AHPs, improve knowledge and highlight the challenges and rewards experienced by AHPs working in the musculoskeletal field.
During the session, invited talks will be given by experts in the field and abstracts submitted by AHPs will be chosen for oral presentation. Hence, it is very important for you and your AHP colleagues to submit work for presentation during this session. Your work may be of interest to national and international colleagues.
The Allied Health Professionals Networking Event
There will also be an opportunity to network with your national and international colleagues, exchange ideas, discuss clinical practice and establish new contacts at our AHP Networking Event to be held on 27 May 2018. A key part of this networking event is the AHP poster tour. Your abstract could be selected for presentation during this tour. This will provide you with an excellent opportunity to share your research with others.
Allied Health Professionals Award
As an AHP, you may be eligible for an Allied Health Professionals award. When you submit your abstract you must meet the criteria mentioned below:
- The applicant is the presenting author
- The applicant is a member of ECTS
- The applicant is an AHP
- The applicant must submit a signed confirmation of eligibility form from their Head of Department
We hope that you will find the AHP session and the opportunity to network of interest.
