Dear colleagues,
Welcome to 2017! A year, which promises to bring about fascinating new opportunities for bone researchers and physicians is ahead of us. It is the mission of the ECTS to act as an independent and trusted institution to apprise you of relevant developments in the musculoskeletal field.
To better provide you with timely information we have created the ECTS Newsletter. It will keep you up to date on ECTS activities and important news. ECTS is best known for its high profile Annual Congress, the next one coming up May 13-16, 2017 in Salzburg with an imminent abstract deadline on January 16. However, there are many other activities! We run our annual ECTS Ph.D Training Course, the ECTS Webinar, and ECTS Educational Courses, the next two ones on May 12 in Salzburg on bone biomarkers – all covered on the ECTS website. The ECTS Academy was founded last year as home base for Europe’s top next generation post doc musculoskeletal researchers and its members will contribute to the ECTS Newsletter in their own regular column. We will inform you about major activities of our partner societies and thus the ECTS Newsletter will help you stay on top of major developments in the musculoskeletal field.
We wish to intensify our contact with you and would be very pleased to receive your feedback on facebook and via twitter, or by mail. However, of course, nothing beats a personal face to face meeting and thus I hope to see many of you in Salzburg!
Best wishes for 2017,
Claus-C. Glüer
ECTS President and Chair of the Board of Director
