- Thyroid diseases influence bone metabolism. Hyperthyroidism
increases bone turnover and results in bone loss and increased fracture
risk. Hypothyroidism
decreases bone turnover.
- How can this knowledge can be transformed into rutine handling of
patients with thyroid diseases
- If and when DXA and biochemical markers
can be used in patients with
thyroid diseases.
