Host Organisation
The European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) is the major organisation
in Europe for researchers and clinicians working in the field of
calcified tissues and related fields. For almost 50 years the Society
has acted as a forum for broad ranging high quality research through
its annual conference and training courses. The ECTS funds various
grants and awards including the Career Establishment Award, ECTS
PhD Studentships and ECTS Postdoctoral Fellowships, ECTS Exchange
Grants and ECTS Travel and New Investigator Awards. The company-sponsored
Alliance for Better Bone Health Iain T Boyle Award, ECTS/Amgen Bone
Biology Fellowship and the ECTS/Servier Research Fellowship are
also offered and administered through the ECTS. Full details on
criteria and the application process are available from the ECTS
website www.ectsoc.org. Membership is open to anyone working in
the field at whatever stage in their career and full details on
these and all activities can be found on the ECTS website.

What are the educational objectives?
Participants should enhance their knowledge of diseases of bone,
basic bone biology and its correlation to mineral metabolism. They
will also develop a clearer understanding of the interrelationship
between basic research and clinical applications. The scientific
programme is designed to produce an enhanced appreciation of the
investigative, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of metabolic bone
disorders.
The official language of the meeting is English.

in the field and to meet with industry colleagues.
Satellite Symposia
All delegates are invited to attend the company sponsored satellite
symposia. The programmes for these satellite symposia have been
designed by the sponsoring companies and have been vetted by the
ECTS Scientific Programme Committee to ensure balance, independence,
objectivity and scientific rigour. Click
here to view the individual programmes.
External Scientific and Social
Events
It is not authorised for external scientific and social events
to be organised during the official hours of the conference programme,
which includes the scientific programme (including satellite symposia),
the opening ceremony and welcome reception, conference party and
the cultural event/football tournament. In addition, transportation
