The Scientific Programme Committee of the ECTS 2019 is proud to announce that, also this year, there will be sessions dedicated to exchange of ideas between Eastern and Western scientists.
Building on three past experiences of ECTS East-meets-West (EmW) collaboration, a number of sessions have been scheduled. These include a workshop on “Mobility and Longevity” and two clinical updates concerning “Optimising drug dosing” and “How to efficiently run a Fracture Liaison Service”. In addition, there will be the possibility of directly interacting with Asian scientists at the Meet the Expert sessions.
Both the workshop and the clinical updates are expected to be very exciting; indeed, scientists from the Western world and from China, Japan and Korea will have the opportunity to illustrate their point of view based on the scientific results obtained in each country as well as trying to target unmet needs and to address future perspectives.
Needless to say, this is a unique opportunity to hear leading experts that will provide state-of-the-art lectures of specific themes that sometime are differently approached in these two parts of the world.
The ECTS East-meets-West sessions have become an established point of reference of ECTS meetings giving a unique opportunity to share and exchange ideas between two different cultures. These sessions will also promote networking between Eastern and Western groups, attracting more and more young scientists in the field.
Exciting exchanges of ideas are also expected between the researchers of the ECTS Academy and top next generation researchers from our three Asian partner countries attending the Next Gen Synergy Session organized by the ECTS Academy.
We therefore cordially invite you to come to Budapest, the Queen of Danube, submitting your cutting-edge results by 14 January 2019, and joining this outstanding program. Both the Academy session and the workshop on “Mobility and Longevity” are scheduled for the ECTS 2019 premeeting day on Friday May 10, so book your flight accordingly!
