The programme will provide participants with the fundamental and advanced knowledge in clinical skills for the evaluation and management of patients with a metabolic bone disease.
Delegates will gain a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic tools and treatment options.
The training course will combine state-of-the-art lectures with discussion of instances and cases. The course will offer ample opportunities for networking and sharing ideas
Learning Objectives
The 2025 training course will develop over two-full days training and will:After attending this two-day intensive course on metabolic bone diseases, participants will be able to:
- Identify the pathophysiological mechanisms and diagnostic approaches for primary, early-onset, and secondary osteoporosis, including glucocorticoid-induced and CKD-related forms.
- Evaluate treatment strategies across the bone remodeling spectrum, including antiresorptives, anabolic and sequential therapies, with a focus on real-world case applications.
- Recognize the clinical challenges in rare bone disorders, such as osteomalacia, hypoparathyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, osteogenesis imperfecta, iron infusions and MTX-osteopathy.
- Apply modern imaging techniques such as DXA and 3D bone imaging in clinical and research settings.
- Integrate disease-specific management strategies for bone health during aging, and systemic disorders.
- Engage in interdisciplinary case discussions to enhance decision-making in complex scenarios.
