RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Develop a nationally recognized and externally-funded program in the area of clinical or translational
bone health.
Direct and support research programs of PhD and MS-level students.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nutrition.
Engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary research with faculty in Nutritional Sciences, the College of
Family and Consumer Sciences and other UGA departments/colleges.
Contribute to activities that serve the department, college, university, the public and the profession.
QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered for the position of Assistant Professor, the applicant must hold an
earned doctoral degree (upon appointment) in nutrition or a related scientific field. The applicant must have an
academic background in the science of nutrition and have demonstrated productivity in bone-related research
in health and/or disease. The applicant should have demonstrated scholarly competence and research
productivity, or the potential for such, and show evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills.
