Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Bone Health, University of Georgia, Department of Nutritional Sciences in the College of Family and Consumer Sciences

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 Develop a nationally recognized and externally-funded program in the area of clinical or translational
bone health.
 Direct and support research programs of PhD and MS-level students.
 Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in nutrition.
 Engage in collaborative and interdisciplinary research with faculty in Nutritional Sciences, the College of
Family and Consumer Sciences and other UGA departments/colleges.
 Contribute to activities that serve the department, college, university, the public and the profession.

QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered for the position of Assistant Professor, the applicant must hold an
earned doctoral degree (upon appointment) in nutrition or a related scientific field. The applicant must have an
academic background in the science of nutrition and have demonstrated productivity in bone-related research
in health and/or disease. The applicant should have demonstrated scholarly competence and research
productivity, or the potential for such, and show evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills.
