ECTS mourn the loss of a treasured longtime member and colleague, Dr Maria Luisa Bianchi, Milan

It is with great sadness that the European Calcified Tissue Society – ECTS, announces the passing of Prof Maria Luisa Bianchi, an esteemed clinician and researcher in the paediatric metabolic bone diseases and an inspiration to the bone community.  We send our sincere condolences to her family.

Maria Luisa was a kind and passionate person, gentle and very caring about her young patients.  She made enormous contribution to the field of rare bone diseases and actively contributed to the activities of ECTS being an active member since many years and chairing the Rare Bone Diseases Action Group.

Her dedication, gentleness, passion and courage will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
