ECTS Statement on the War in Ukraine

It is with utmost concern that ECTS is following the war in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis.

ECTS, throughout its 60 years of existence, has remained committed to promoting research, collaboration and education amongst professionals across geographical borders and political systems.  Excellence, Inclusion, Collaboration, Transparency are our core values and at the heart of everything we do.

We call for a swift resolution of the conflict and we stand in solidarity with our Ukrainian colleagues, all of those affected by the war and to all Russian scientists who just do their scientific work and are not part of or supporting the war.

We work closely with the Congress Center in Helsinki to ensure that qualified Ukrainian refugees can be hired during ECTS 2022.

Many Ukrainian colleagues submitted an abstract to ECTS 2022.  Hoping that they will still be able to participate, ECTS has offered them financial assistance to support their travels.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at membership@ectsoc.org.
