The Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCMM) within the medical faculty at Lund University, Sweden has its focus on Regenerative Medicine and the entire program will, over ten years (2015-2024) set up 10 tenure track positons in all. Currently being advertised is a tenure track position for an associate senior lecturer (Assistant Professor) within the field ‘Regeneration, Replacement, and Repair in the Musculoskeletal System’.

WCMM LU are aiming to recruit outstanding young scientists with international research experience, with priority given to those who have completed their PhD within the last 7 years.

The successful candidate will:
- Receive a career package of two PhD students (2x 4 year) and two post-doc positions (2x 2years) and an operational grant of SEK 1.5 million per year for four years.
- Primarily conduct research and research supervision. Teaching at the medical faculty is included (<20%), facilitating promotion to a tenure position as Snr Lecturer/Assoc Professor within 4 years.
- Initiate and maintain a strong experimental research program in synergy with on-going preclinical/clinical research into the musculoskeletal system within the faculty.
