An upcoming webinar where East meets West: Different dietetic & therapeutic approach in the Eastern and Western countries. By Salvatore Minisola

On October 27th, from 2.00 to 3:30 pm (CEST time), there will be a webinar organized by the East-meets-West Action Group. The East-meets-West Action Group was born following an initiative of Claus Gluer with the aim of comparing different aspects of bone and mineral metabolism between Western and Eastern worlds, also laying the foundation for mutual exchanges.

This year’s webinar is centered on two important topics that can be approached differently in these two continents. The first one is represented by different dietetic approaches to counteract metabolic bone diseases (speakers are: E. Biver from Switzerland and A. Suzuki from Japan). The second one is more focused on possible different treatment modalities of hypoparathyroid patients in Eastern and Western world (speakers are: A. Kahn from USA and J. Liu from China).

The webinar is expected to be very exciting because of interesting themes and outstanding chairmen and speakers invited. This webinar is the latest in the long similar series that, in addition to favoring cultural exchanges, could promote new opportunities for students, PhDs, and scientists.
