ECTS 2022: Charity event. By Melanie Haffner-Luntzer, Hanna Taipaleenmäki, Carolina Medina Gomez, Donata Iandolo

We are all very happy that the ECTS congress 2022 will happen in person and want to invite you to join the ECTS Academy live charity event on May 8 in Helsinki.

This year, we will do a charity run/walk to support a Finnish organisation „ Lyhytkasvuiset – Kortväxta ry“ (in English „People with Short Stature“). This is a national association founded in 1984 for people with restricted growth and for their families and friends. The purpose of the association is to act as a link between members, to see that their rights are respected and to promote research, social and health care and rehabilitation of people with restricted growth.

ECTS attendees who want to support the work of this association are invited to join our charity run/walk as an active or supporting participant and donate to the organization. The run/walk will be conducted at Töölönlahti bay (2 km away from the conference venue), which is a nice round tour of 2 km where you will see famous buildings, including Opera House and Finlandia House.

As every year, there will be awards to win during this charity event! First award will be for the most creative workout outfit. Second award will be for the best photo taken during the challenge. Awards will be given based on submitted photos and winners will be announced via social media #ECTSAcademyCharity.

Join us for the #ECTSAcademyCharity event, increase your bone and muscle strength and have some fun while donating to a local charity association! Please indicate that you want to participate/donate here and you will receive further information in due time. Minimum donation is 10 Euro.
