ECTS Board of Directors – ready to go. By Roberta Mugnai

In May, the ECTS members elected 2 new directors into the ECTS Board of Directors: Heide Siggelkow and Björn Busse.  Peter Pietschmann was also elected President-Elect and Alex Ireland was confirmed as ECTS Academy co-chair.

We recently completed an ECTS Board of Directors’ meeting, where the specific responsibilities of each board member were discussed and confirmed.  Heide will now chair the Communications Committee and Björn will take over the Education Committee.

Peter has joined the Executive Committee and is working hand to hand with Bo Abrahmasen, Geert Carmeliet and Chris Meier to continue the development of the Society and build on its strategy.

Alex is now co-chairing the ECTS Academy together with Ciro Menale and they will represent the view of our new investigators and young clinicians into the Board.

We are delighted to welcome the newly appointment members of the ECTS Governing Body.  They bring a diverse set of strengths and experience to the Board and they are committed to contribute to the ECTS work.

Do you also want to contribute to ECTS development?  ECTS is a volunteer-led society and all activities are organised by the Action Groups.  Everyone can take part and the composition of the action groups will be reviewed in November.  If you would like to be part of an Action Group, let us know by submitting your application here.

We look forward to the next Annual General Meeting to be held during ECTS 2023 in Liverpool and present you the Committee achievements made on behalf of the ECTS Community.
