The European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) is set to host its annual PhD Training Course from 7–9 November 2025 in Potsdam, Germany, continuing its long-standing tradition of fostering excellence in musculoskeletal research education.
Now in its 19th edition, the course has become a cornerstone of early-career development in the field, offering a dynamic mix of lectures, workshops, and mentoring sessions tailored to PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. But beyond its academic rigour, the event is increasingly recognised for its collegiate atmosphere and emphasis on networking.
A key highlight of the course is the chance for early-career researchers to connect with established scientists in an informal and supportive setting. Participants will engage in a range of interactive formats, including poster presentations, designed not only to showcase research but also to encourage dialogue and peer-to-peer learning. The programme also includes dedicated networking sessions and informal social gatherings, which have proven instrumental in building lasting professional relationships.
With attendees drawn from across Europe and beyond, the course provides a rare opportunity for young researchers to connect across disciplines and borders. The diversity of scientific backgrounds adds depth to discussions and broadens perspectives.
Registration is open until 30 October, with support available for ECTS members and researchers from Central Eastern Europe. Accommodation and meals are included, ensuring accessibility and a shared experience that reinforces the course’s collaborative ethos.
