  1. Describe advanced glycation endproducts (AGEs) and the mechanisms by which they form in connective tissues.
  2. Identify the techniques currently available for assessment of AGEs in bone and the main outcomes of each method.
  3. Discuss the relative strengths and limitations of these methods.
  4. Identify knowledge gaps that would inform clinical utilization and improve patient care.
