Learning objectives:

  1. Participants will become familiar with recent work identifying a series of anatomically restricted stem cells in the skeleton and how these cells each account for the signature pathologies of their respective locations.
  2. Participants will become familiar with core methods used to study skeletal stem cells.
  3. Participants will become familiar with how the principles derived from work on skletal stem cells can be applied to identify other related cell types, such as tendon and ligament stem cells.
