ECTS 2020 rescheduled to 20-24 October 2020

After careful consideration, ECTS 2020 has been postponed to 20-24 October 2020

After careful assessment of the situation and following security measures adopted by the French government, the rest of Europe and worldwide in response to the spread of COVID-19, the ECTS leadership reached the conclusion that the most appropriate solution is to postpone ECTS 2020 to 20-24 October 2020, in Marseille.

This decision aims to allow the ECTS community to attend safely and to maintain the high level of quality of the scientific programme. Registrations and abstract submission will remain valid and will automatically transfer to the new dates. The Scientific Programme Committee is currently re-arranging the scientific programme based on speakers’ availability to ensure that attendants will have the best experience of our meeting.

We kindly invite you to check our event website for updates where you can also find a FAQs section.

As announced previously, the Annual General Assembly will be held as planned on Saturday 16 May at 12.30hrs, as an online meeting and ECTS Members will receive the official invitation soon.

This decision to postpone the meetings has not been made lightly and we are sorry for any inconvenience that this postponement may cause you.  We would like to thank you for your understanding and continuous support.  Please stay safe and take care of yourself and those around you.

We look forward to welcoming you in Marseille in October.

With our heartfelt best wishes

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE 2020 ECTS CONFERENCE IN MARSEILLE

The ECTS recommend that you do not make travel arrangements for the conference at this point in time. As you may be aware, there is no official French restriction for meetings planned for May. However, it is becoming clear that contingency plans have to be made for a likely postponement of ECTS 2020.

Please save 20-24 October in Marseille as alternative dates.

The context is that in the last days, severe measures in travel and meeting policies have been adopted across Europe and worldwide following the spread of COVID-19.

Our priority is to allow the ECTS community to attend safely, while maintaining the high level of quality of the scientific programme.

The Annual General Meeting will be held as planned on Saturday 16 May at 12.30hrs, as an online meeting and ECTS Members will receive the official invitation soon. All other upcoming events will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis as will the conference itself.

Please check the website regularly and you can contact the congress secretariat in case of questions: ects2020@interplan.de.

We are sorry for any inconvenience that this situation will cause you and we would like to thank you for your understanding and continuous support. Please stay safe and take care of yourself and those around you.

Our heartfelt best wishes
